Its active ingredient is a derivative of glycine, a natural protein component and is used in certain medications, in food and food-flavoring agents, and as an antimicrobial agent. The active ingredient in CoffeeBreak™ also occurs naturally in the stomach during digestion.

To use CoffeeBreak™, simply pour it into the coffeemaker's carafe and fill the carafe to the 8- to 10-cup level with water. Pour the contents of the carafe into the coffeemaker's reservoir. Turn the machine on and let the cleaner brew through the machine just as if you were brewing a carafe of coffee. Discard the cleaning solution, rinse the carafe, fill it with plain water and brew through the machine. Discard rinse water. Make a pot of coffee. Enjoy!
